Editorial Policy

Independence

Our content is written to help readers, not to sell a particular policy. Advertisers and partners have no say in what we write, which coverage we say you need, or how we describe it.

Accuracy and sourcing

  • Facts, figures and legal requirements must come from a named, credible source: government agencies, regulators, or published industry data.
  • Cost figures are always attributed and dated.
  • Examples of claims are clearly labeled as illustrative.
  • When sources disagree, we use the most conservative reading and tell readers to confirm with the official agency.

What we don't do

  • We don't publish fake reviews, testimonials or invented experts.
  • We don't claim to be licensed insurance agents.
  • We don't give personalized insurance, legal or tax advice.

Updates

Guides are reviewed at least once a year. Pages that depend on laws or prices are checked whenever new data is published.
